Going Beyond ADAS Test Methodologies: NI and OEMs Partner to Unify Replay and HIL Test System

Validating the perception algorithms running on advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) electronic control units (ECUs) remains the most crucial puzzle piece in the connected ADAS and AD validation workflow to ensure that safe and reliable vehicles reach the market. Common best practices include replaying recorded datasets from the field all the way up to closed-loop HIL techniques. Often, replay and HIL require two separate sets of investments, leading to two separate test workflows. However, there are commonalities between both—simulated sensor injection, for example—which means redundant costs.

Unifying both the hardware configurations and test automation infrastructure can reduce capital equipment cost and improve test coverage and efficiency. Adding test automation infrastructure such as scenario coverage analysis and requirements analysis could make the approach to test even smarter.

In this webinar, learn how NI partnered with an OEM to help their engineers maximize their test efficiency using a common replay and HIL infrastructure to provide the path to dynamic test deployment based on V&V requirements.

In this webinar:

  • Explore NI's unified test system architecture for replay and HIL test improving your ADAS/AD product performance and accelerating time to market.
  • Learn how to inject multiple high-resolution cameras, lidar, and radar data into an ADAS ECU.
  • See how the engineers from an automaker maximize their test efficiency by partnering with NI.
